'Alchemy'
In response to a poem by
James Oates, Maggie and calligrapher Hazel Abbott produced a series of art-pieces, both 2d and 3d, to be shown in a forthcoming exhibition at the Lamplight Gallery in Stanley in July.

Python Gallery hosted School of Computing staff creative work in February -March 2011
Jointly curated by Maggie Parker and Peter Hesleton, the exhibition showed the art-practice research by lecturers and ancillary staff, was viewed by many people from both the University and the outside community and received good reviews from the press.

Mr Stephen Hughes, MEP, has requested edan to exhibit at the European Parliament Building, in Brussels. Curated and organised by Maggie, this took place in the 3rd floor ASP building, from 11th - 15th October, 2010.

'Coast NEWS'
The North-East of England 'swopped' galleries with the South-West coast of England. edan and St Ives artists completed a reciprocal art-swop. St Ives artists were shown the the Courtyard, Seaham and edan artists were shown in St Ives harbour front Art Gallery. The private views happened simultaneously and the shows were hugely successful.

ScMART Exhibition

Work shown here is some of my 3d printing and animation work translated into a real world 3d effigys.
'ScMART' was a project conceived to showcase staff art-practice and research projects by staff employed in the School of Computing.
Due to the success of this exhibition, School of Computing lecturers and ancillary staff showed their work at the Python Gallery, Middlesbrough in February 2010. The next exhibition will be January 2011 to tie-in with
Animex, the hugely successful animation festival organised by the School of Computing and to be held in Teesside University in 2011 in February 7th - 11th.


Second Life:
Inserting student artwork into 3D Web site
Creating
a gallery in the virtual world 'Second Life' to showcase undergraduate and graduate work has now been
completed. You can find the gallery in co-ordinates 70,230,70 and also
teleport to it from co-ordinates 78,68,23 by the entrance to 'Teeslife'
and also 69,216,23 near the Bayeaux Tapestry by using 'Touch' and
'Teleport' commands into the gallery via the info boards.
